There are several flood warnings in effect this morning for rivers and streams in the Pulaski County area. Minor Flooding is forecast for the Gasconade River at Jerome from this evening to early Thursday afternoon. At 4:45 this morning, the river stage was 11.5 feet. The Gasconade River is expected to rise this evening to a crest of 16.7 feet Wednesday morning. This is 1.7 feet above flood stage. At 15.0 feet, minor flooding occurs near the gage site. Flood waters reach the lower edge of the concrete building where
the gage equipment is located. It will then fall below the flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. A flood warning is in effect for the Big Piney River until early tomorrow afternoon. Forecast flooding has been changed from minor to moderate severity for the Big Piney River below the East Gate to Fort Leonard Wood.
At 5 o’clock this morning, the river stage was 14.7 feet, and waters are expected to rise to a crest of 15.9 feet this morning. At 16.0 feet, the East Gate Road west of the river and east of the entrance gate to Fort Wood floods. High-ground training area floods. Waters will fall below the flood stage tomorrow morning. After reaching a crest of 8.86 feet just before midnight, waters on the Roubidoux have receded below flood stage at the water gauge south of Waynesville. The water gauge on Roubidoux Creek near Plato recorded a crest of 11.57 feet Monday evening and waters have fallen well below flood stage this morning.
