A man from Kaiser has been sentenced to serve five years of probation after attempting to flush nearly 1,000 fentanyl pills down a jail toilet in the Miller County Jail in Tuscumbia. Bryant Davis was charged in June 2023 with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance. A second felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance was later dropped. According to a probable cause statement, Davis was a passenger in a vehicle that his wife, Donna Davis, was driving. Deputies with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office stopped the vehicle for following too closely. During the stop, the Davises refused to allow deputies to search the vehicle, and a K-9 unit was called.
When Bryant Davis got out of the car, court documents state a $1 bill with cocaine residue was found in his pocket and he was arrested. Psilocybin mushrooms were also found in the car.
