50 texts and calls lead to charges against a Camdenton man

A Camdenton man is facing charges after allegedly making a false report and texting and calling a person more than 50 times in an hour. Law Enforcement arrived at the address in Sunrise Beach after receiving a call about a child being left unattended in a hot car. During the investigation, law enforcement determined that the child had not been left in the car, which led to a charge of filing a false report against 58 year old James Patrick Houston Junior. The victim then reported that they had received threatening text messages calling the victim names, and informing them that state troopers were coming for them because the air conditioning in the car not working. The responding officer continued an investigation into the actions of Houston over the past few months and discovered that law enforcement agencies across the area had received calls about or from Houston on multiple occasions. This week, in addition to the filing a false report charge, Houston is charged with felony harassment and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
